Clear blue sky and from memory a 25°C to go with it.

Pour se remonter le moral vu nos froidures hivernales, je mets 2 photos du désert. Elles ont été prises en avril, fin de journée. Un ciel bleu bien dégagé et de mémoire un petit 25° pour bonne mesure.

It has been quite a while since the last time I wrote something in....

So I am leaving France on 7th november to benefit from the new low cost fares. At long last, air fares at reasonnable prices.
As today has been one of those dark grey, rain included i cannot say i will be sorry to see and confirm to you all, that the sun does exist as here if it seems to be out for just a restricted number of hours at a time.

Also I am now able to tell you that NAN TETTA is the name of the new project, better be my own boss.... my pretty adaptable nature does not strech that far when it comes to pragmatic thinking. well I am not a man so maybe this explains that....

I will not translate this one into french as most people who could have beeen reading the french version i meet regularly.

For the anecdote : NAN TETTA means : starting with TETTA it was the original word i wanted to use but i needed something else to go with it. Well in Egypte, like in other parts of the world, children call people uncle or aunt all men or women of the same generation. the same goes for grand mother or grand father...

so take a guess, grey as i am now, the kids called me TETTA, trying to tell them that my name is different was a lost cause, so i thought i would use it. And NAN is the shortening of Nanny, gran and so on and as it seems that I am to be a grand mother in 2008, i might as well get used to it now. With all this I should at long last become a wise old lady, well i can dream about becoming wise, who knows !!!!

Hard brass reality gripped as soon as i reached the airport, even it didn't rain. the gentleman behind the desk of the missing luggage was so pleasant that I knew without any possible mistake that I was back in france.

Obviously I was a trouble maker who had the nerve to disturb him during his precious idle time. Well, well one would still wonder why I plan to leave this friendly country...

La dure realité de l'existence m'a rattrapée dès mon arrivée à Roissy bien que la pluie ne soit pas au rendez-vous. Le charmant jeune homme assis derrière le comptoir des bagages manquants était d'une amabilité telle qu'aucune erreure n'était possible... Bienvenue en France.

manifestement je venais perturber une activité intense qu'est "le coincage de bulle". Vraiment il y -t-il encore quelqu'un qui se demande pourquoi je souhaite quitter la France...

Je prévois toujours mon départ pour mi-octobre bienque je ne rejoindrais pas l'entreprise initiale. D'autres détails plus tard....

the only place to be here for the last few days is in the water, out you die.
Other than that the fishes and the dolphins are still around our parts to my delight.

Here is the solution to dress up as a sting ray / take a pot of paint (1.5 liter) turquoise blue, don't close the lead properly, grab it with soapy hands, effect guaranteed. You get the right spots in the right place from head to toe. I tested it with success......

Le seul endroit ou se mettre depuis deux ou trois jours est dans l'eau, sinon dessèchement assuré. Sinon les poissons et dauphins se promènent dans notre secteur pour mon plus grand plaisir.


Voici la solution pour le déguisement Pastenague : prendre un pot de peinture (1.5 litre) de peinture bleu turquoise, ne pas fermer le couvercle correctement, attraper avec les mains savonneuses, effet garantie, j'ai testé. Vous avez les points bleus juste là où il faut de la tête au pied.

Quel bonheur d'être loin de la chaleur torride qui a une fâcheuse tendance à nous écraser à terre.
Je reviens d'une semaine en mer que l'on appelle un safari. C'est une croisière ou l'on se déplace de site de plongée en site sans avoir à bouger ni son matériel, ni son bazar juste sa petite personne. et surtout le plus important est d'échapper à la cuisson matinale qui se prolonge un tant soit peu sur la journée. Tout dépend comment vous aimez votre viande!!! bien cuite, à point, rosé ou saignante.
pour la petite histoire j'ai presque réussie à éviter les coups de soleils indice 50 et à l'ombre, le premier qui rigole, attention !!!

Nous n'avons pas eu la chance de plonger avec les dauphins mais nous en avons vu tout plein, ils venaient nager près du bateau, quel bonheur rien que de les regarder...On ne s'en lasse jamais, enfin moi les autres non plus d'ailleurs!!!

Mes petits camarades les poissons clowns (nemos) ot eu le plaisir de ma visite chaque fois que je les ai croisés, J'adore quand ils m'attaquent et j'ai même réussi à les entendre claquer du bec, à hurler de rire, mais j'ai été une bonne fille, j'ai été terrifiée..... je me suis amusée comme une petite folle....

Quel dommage que l'on soit limité par la quantité d'air dans les bouteilles, parce que je serais bien restée sous l'eau plus longtemps..; Bon pour ma prochaine réincarnation, je demande l'option sous marine , branchies incluses mais espèce pas commestible.

J'ai un petit jeu pour les joueurs, comment ai je reussie à me déguisée en raie pastenague, raie à pois bleu. Je vous donne deux indices, pas fait expres et comme vous connaisez mes capacitées brouillonnes, je vous laisse deviner, vers le pire.

Autre chose, sur le bateau wous avions un plongeur qui tiens plus du poisson que de l'humain, ben y a du boulot pour arriver à la moitié de son aisance. scotché mamie!!!
Il a filmé tout le temps et m'a promis de m'envoyer des films, je vous ferais profiter mais rien avant mi septembre.

What a bliss to be away from the torrid heat on the land. I am just back from a week safari. Safari is a cruise where you go from dive sites to dive sites without moving your equipment or yourself. and ultimate advantage at this time of the year your are not cooking from early morning to late, late at night.

If we were not lucky enough to dive with dolphins, we saw a lot of them they are so magnificent to watch, it is a pleasure always renewed to see them swimming by the boat.

My friends the clown fishes (nemos) are so funny i have had a great time playing with them. Some coming to attack me. As you can guess i was terrified.... it was brilliant to hear them claping their beak on my suit.

First time i was able to hear them, pity we are submitted to air tanks, this limits the time you can spend under the water. maybe in another life....

Lets play a game with those who are willing : guess how did I dress up as a sting ray? give you a clue, was an accident and knowing me you can imagine the worse !!
the answer next week.

Also on the boat we had the most amazing diver with us, this guy was a fish in a previous life, incredible to watch, plenty of work for me ahead to reach half of his capacities, impressive.... he was filming all the time and he promised to send some films and i am sure he will do. i will then show them to you but nothing before september.

Hello from a quite and still fresh Marsa Alam,

Here it is 9.45 and it is still fairly quite, fresh is an understatement as it is fresh at 1am, so fresh has got a very subjective quality.

Yesterday first snorkeling guiding activity with a group of 40 italians along the reef.
And we had the peasure of meeting a turtle, it is so graceful to see it swim, i love this encounters, it is magic...
This should help getting the muscles back into working order and as a part of the staff is away on holiday, i gave a hand in the kitchen peeling patatoes... Swiss Knife will be my second name shortly.


Other than that, can someone tell me how to reduce the weight of my pictures as the blob is not taking them, too heavy.



Bonjour de Marsa Alam où il fait encore frais,
Ici il est environ 9.45 et il fait encore relativement frais, cela relève de l'euphémisme car il faut frai vers 1h du matin, comme quoi la fraicheur a une notion de subjectivité intense.

Hier,premier accompagnement d'un groupe d'italiens en palme masque et tuba, 40 personne le long du recif
Et coup de chance une tortue est venue à notre rencontre, c'est tellement gracieux que c'est un bonheur de la regarder, j'adore ces rencontres, c'est magic.

Ceci devrait aider à remettre les muscles en place et comme une partie de l'équipe est en vacance je participe à la corvée de pluche aussi... Couteau Suisse va devenir mon surnom dans peu de temps...

Une dernière chose si l'un de vous peut me dire comme reduire le poids de mes photos car elles sont trop lourdes et ne passent pas, le blog me les rejete
